Some things you just hate to see happen , but then you think Same thing just a different day.

a cooters blawg header A Knyte Cap

Some times you learn about something taking a nose dive into oblivion, and while you feel bad for the people or person or persons involved, you have to just say, Same stuff, just a different Day or year. Case-n-point, a really nice person I know here where I live runs a very small, video store and printing, publishing company here. Upon inquiry she informed me that she threw in the towel on her small area newspaper here. Too bad, since this gal and her husband are really nice people. But then too, its maybe a sign of the tymez or is it a local attitude that just cain't be overcame. Not saying Gooding is bad or that folks here are as ornery as say Glenns Ferry etc are, since I have many here trying to see me succeed. But like I said in an earlier blawg past evening, folks cain't rent what they don't have. A good media friend of mine Straight Arrow, started a small radio station here in Gooding. Now a Mexican oriented station. The station Straight Arrow started went into the tank, property sits, tower is there, but studio? In Jerome. Granted an argument could be raised to snag the station, by alerting the FCC amongst others that the studio is not where the transmitter is, nor is the city of license being served, by where the studio is located. 25 Miles away is not serving the city of license. But then I am outta here, as soon as resources can be gathered together, place to live, studio for OUR station and of course shop for LexiBelle. So I really don't care. The once thriving Magic Valley has become the ever so often Tragic Valley where the wheels of progress have ground to a stop, and short of a real miracle and the second coming of Christ, not much is going to happen here, except for a chosen few who hold the old money, as well as those who say all we are going to do here is grow taters. Now to my own stupidity, LONG BEFORE, I relocated back to Idaho, the thing would have been to drive to Boise, see if the Boise State University Vo-Tech media course was still going, and so on. It isn't of course or its not as it was even ten years ago. But that would have been the smart thing to do. Even then I told both Tammy and Bud, I did not see anything really green except for the alphalpha growing in Idaho. That going east of Evanston, or in Echo Utah , or even if Idaho were a destination Malad would have been a better choice since Malad is closer to Utah and thus Utah's financial benefits overflow into Malad, where the rest of Idaho suffers. That all said, I am here now. The way I look at it, is there is still 9 months on the years lease I signed here. My plans are, fix up my trucks, try to salvage what I can from or to save some face from moving here. Admit to all that I know I was wrong about things, Idaho or what I thought(shows what thinking does for you) move back to Utah, even if I have to tuck tail between my legs, settle in there. Try to get my place of birth changed from Idaho to anywhere else but Idaho. Like it to be Georgia or hell even freezing Wyoming, but never Idaho, forget Idaho exists. Idaho might be nice for some folks, but it ain't for me. Makes me still wonder why mom and dad moved here in the first place upon their retirement in 1972. Wish we hadn't. Couldn't do much about my environment then, but I damn well can now. What really is a shame and the fingers really do point at them, but its a shame that one little puke of  a town could break a once strong spirit. But as far as them , I don't care anymore. Now I begin to close this door. Hazzard County can just as easily be in Utah or Wyoming.

I have related this to you in the past, but it bares repeating. Back in early 2006 between the lust of a young lady I met in Wyoming and the stupid belief that things could be again what they were years ago, I relocated back here to Idaho. I was at near exiting to Utah in mid 2007, when I thought one last dash to go tow in Idaho, in inquired to a TV outfit, in Pocatello on simply letting people know that rain or snow if they needed a tow in the mini Cassia area of Idaho to call me. Call it mixed up communication, call it misunderstanding, call it what you will but I thought, move to Pocky, if for nothing else to recover MY Gen,Lee. So I moved. We all know everything past that. While I can see at some point Idaho pulling its head out of its rear in some upcoming year, it will not be me being able to recover the timid heads of a even more conservative attitude state than even Utah is and I used to think they had their heads buried. Perhaps so, but I think damn , should have used that first Trust Fund recovery money to buy the radio gear from KSOP, set that up in Ogden, got the place in Echo and said to hell with Idaho. But as said, hind site is always 20/20 , cain't fix the past, only can look to the future. As every month becomes more month than money, I have to think can I get past this some day? I really do not think so. Part of the basic reason, I pushed the Hazzard County Knytes to rename itself as the Knytes-of-Anarchy, last year about this time is that even then, I saw the script on the wall, to get out of Idaho, go back into Utah to rebuild. Initially I had the concept of moving directly from Goons Ferry direct to Utah, and had my landlord there not gone bankrupt when he did I could have. But he didn't, so to survive I had to use good old Gooding as a bridge, to get through winter to be able to make the break. Don't get me wrong, I love Gooding as a town, and its people have been great to me, but they can't rent to me what they simply do not have. There is no , repeat NO commercial shop property to be rented in Gooding, or Gooding County at a rate I can afford. Something I said I'd never do, was to keep being the voice of those going towing if I was no longer going towing. But hunger and need creates the need to look at what resources I have and what I don't. Thus ,LexiBelle goes into storage for a time, I move me to Utah, find shop , find housing, get our radio gig and all up to snuff, then once ready , fetch LexiBelle, nd go tow in Utah next year when it begins to snow. Earlier today I went to the border of Idaho and Utah just outside Strevell. As I stood at the welcome to Idaho,/Utah signs I said in a few months I'll be here saying  a final good bye to Idaho. I'm looking at getting my birth certificate redone to saying I was born in the south or at least not in Idaho. I'm looking at uprooting my mom-n-Dads graves and moving them out of Idaho, and all so I never have to say I was ever an Idaho native, which is in truth exact. Yes I may have been born in Idaho, but except in stress, I have never really claimed I was an Idaho native. I'd just asoon, have my birth certificate read Conyers Georgia or some place southern. But damn well not Idaho, hell I'd rather freeze to death in Wyoming than say I ever was a person of Idaho. I have a few more projects left to attempt here, but with that said I'm about to put things Idaho to bed, get my own trucks up to a point then blow this crap joint, some call the Gem of the mountains that has become rather tarnished. As for the CSA/CNP- and Knytes-of-Anarchy, shit Utah was more open to the ideals of that than Idaho has been, plus Utah has a few more resources media and other wise to make it happen. I'm just tyred.

On Saturday, October 10, 2009, from 8 a.m. until noon, the doors of Building A and Building B at the Bannock County Fair Grounds will be open for the Homeless Stand Down.   “Stand Down” is the military term used when soldiers leaving a battlefield are able to set down their gear, eat, shower, rest, and attend to their personal needs.  For individuals fighting the daily battle of being homeless - or nearly homeless, this annual event is a “one stop shop” for services and referral resources.  Numerous agencies, organizations, businesses, and volunteers have joined together in offering a “hand up” – not a hand out -  to Southeast Idaho citizens in need.

Amongst the services offered between 8 a.m. and noon:  a hot breakfast and sack lunch to go, haircuts, clothing, personal care items, a free phone call to a loved one, health screenings, medical referral information, foot care clinic, employment information, and veteran benefit information. Some services are military in nature and specifically for veterans.

Veterans and civilians fighting to acquire/maintain a fixed regular and adequate nighttime residence are considered to be in the homeless population.  Transportation to the Stand Down can be acquired through the PRT system at no charge.  If a regular stop is unavailable, call 232-0111 by 3 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2009 to arrange a pick-up.  Be sure to state destination when boarding the PRT bus and making arrangements.

I have been beat over the head and told I was lying about this by you know who. Thing is why is it just UTAH that has such an outreach program to help start up firms get that bit of a boost to get going. Yes Utah does have mucho capital exchanges, and yes Utah has smart people, but so does IDAHO. So why don't one of those with deep pockets start something like Grow IDAHO Ventures? No neither me nor the Knytes are going to do it, hell our breadbasket is empty, or purtty near it, but I ask, is there not some outfit like oh I don't know Simplot or someone that could do something like this, here in Idaho?

Something to think about Idaho.

Folks,

The following article is so prescient it defies all logic to refute it.

Southerners and Confederates should be poking holes in every facet of the government’s ‘explanation’ of 9-11 but, we wrap the flag of an occupying empire ever tighter around ourselves until we have strangled any logical thought or will to speak out. We, as a people, have been slandered, libeled, repudiated, demonized, marginalized, ignored and attacked at every level by the government of the US, as well as uninformed Yankees, for the past hundred forty four years yet, you eagerly accept the massive lie about 9-11 extended by the same government that is stripping you of your freedom, daily!

Is there no men of conscience left in the South?  Or the CSA in all parts of this nation?

This occupying government has been following a policy of complete domination of every human endeavor for the past hundred forty four years yet, many of you believe you can petition tyrants or vote change. How has that worked for you? I’ll tell you. You have lost your butts at every turn!

You had better get your heads out of the sand,(or your butts), you’re not an ostrich, and dig the dirt out of your ears so you can hear the truth. The Oligarchs are embarking on one of their infamous population reduction programs that they have been drooling over for the past sixty years and you are squarely in their crosshairs.

There is an old maxim, “Never pick a fight with an old man. He knows he can’t win so, he’ll just kill you.” Well, I’m an old man and if you wish me or mine harm, I’ll just kill you and have a sound night’s sleep afterward. I hope those receiving this missive will reevaluate their position, rip that cloying flag from your bodies and minds and set to work preparing for what is to come. I pray there won’t be war but I fear that is going to be our lot.

Why Propaganda Trumps Truth

Information Clearing House

By Paul Craig Roberts
September 15, 2009

An article in the journal, Sociological Inquiry, casts light on the effectiveness of propaganda.  Researchers examined why big lies succeed where little lies fail.  Governments can get away with mass deceptions, but politicians cannot get away with sexual affairs.

The researchers explain why so many Americans still believe that Saddam Hussein was behind 9/11, years after it has become obvious that Iraq had nothing to do with the event. Americans developed elaborate rationalizations based on Bush administration propaganda that alleged Iraqi involvement and became deeply attached to their beliefs.  Their emotional involvement became wrapped up in their personal identity and sense of morality.  They looked for information that supported their beliefs and avoided information that challenged them, regardless of the facts of the matter.

In Mein Kampf, Hitler explained the believability of the Big Lie as compared to the small lie: “In the simplicity of their minds, people more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods.  It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have such impudence.  Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and continue to think that there may be some other explanation.”

What the sociologists and Hitler are telling us is that by the time facts become clear, people are emotionally wedded to the beliefs planted by the propaganda and find it a wrenching experience to free themselves.  It is more comfortable, instead, to denounce the truth-tellers than the liars whom the truth-tellers expose.

The psychology of belief retention even when those beliefs are wrong is a pillar of social cohesion and stability.  It explains why, once change is effected, even revolutionary governments become conservative. The downside of belief retention is its prevention of the recognition of facts.  Belief retention in the Soviet Union made the system unable to adjust to economic reality, and the Soviet Union collapsed.  Today in the United States millions find it easier to chant “USA, USA, USA” than to accept facts that indicate the need for change.

The staying power of the Big Lie is the barrier through which the 9/11 Truth Movement is finding it difficult to break.  The assertion that the 9/11 Truth Movement consists of conspiracy theorists and crackpots is obviously untrue.  The leaders of the movement are highly qualified professionals, such as demolition experts, physicists, structural architects, engineers, pilots, and former high officials in the government.  Unlike their critics parroting the government’s line, they know what they are talking about.

Here is a link to a presentation by the architect, Richard Gage, to a Canadian university audience: http://globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=13242   The video of the presentation is two hours long and seems to have been edited to shorten it down to two hours.  Gage is low-key, but not a dazzling personality or a very articulate presenter. Perhaps that is because he is speaking to a university audience and takes for granted their familiarity with terms and concepts.

Those who believe the official 9/11 story and dismiss skeptics as kooks can test the validity of the sociologists’ findings and Hitler’s observation by watching the video and experiencing their reaction to evidence that challenges their beliefs. Are you able to watch the presentation without scoffing at someone who knows far more about it than you do?  What is your response when you find that you cannot defend your beliefs against the evidence presented?  Scoff some more?  Become enraged?

Another problem that the 9/11 Truth Movement faces is that few people have the education to follow the technical and scientific aspects.  The side that they believe tells them one thing; the side that they don’t believe tells them another. Most Americans have no basis to judge the relative merits of the arguments.

For example, consider the case of the Lockerbie bomber.  One piece of “evidence” that was used to convict Magrahi was a piece of circuit board from a device that allegedly contained the Semtex that exploded the airliner.  None of the people, who have very firm beliefs in Magrahi’s and Libya’s guilt and in the offense of the Scottish authorities in releasing Magrahi on allegedly humanitarian grounds, know that circuit boards of those days have very low combustion temperatures and go up in flames easily.  Semtex produces very high temperatures.  There would be nothing whatsoever left of a device that contained Semtex.  It is obvious to an expert that the piece of circuit board was planted after the event.

I have asked on several occasions and have never had an answer, which does not mean that there isn’t one, how millions of pieces of un-burnt, un-charred paper can be floating over lower Manhattan from the destruction of the WTC towers when the official explanation of the destruction is fires so hot and evenly distributed that they caused the massive steel structures to weaken and fail simultaneously so that the buildings fell in free fall time just as they would if they had been brought down by controlled demolition.

What is the explanation of fires so hot that steel fails but paper does not combust?

People don’t even notice the contradictions.  Recently, an international team of scientists, who studied for 18 months dust samples produced by the twin towers’ destruction collected from three separate sources, reported their finding of nano-thermite  in the dust.  The US government had scientists dependent on the US government to debunk the finding on the grounds that the authenticity of custody of the samples could not be verified.  In other words, someone had tampered with the samples and added the nano-thermite.  This is all it took to discredit the finding, despite the obvious fact that access to thermite is strictly controlled and NO ONE except the US military and possibly Israel has access to nano-thermite.

Despite what some will tell you and even THEY will tell you and we all know who THEY are, the CSA/CNP is the only hope this nation has to survive and thrive. Just this past week, and albeit it was a Senator from one of the Carolina's that spoke it calling Obama a liar, shit I have been telling you Obama is a liar for nearly two years now. I found that out when I was recruited to being a campaign helper during the nomination season. I found out ALL OBAMA volunteers were liars and really spooks. But I will not honor those now by saying any more about that. What I will tell you is this; If you are truly an American and want to keep this entire nation from going in the toilet, and its headed there mighty fast, join your local chapter of the CSA/CNP, and get involved. Here in Idaho you can become a member of the CSA/CNP by becoming an associate member of the Knytes-of-Anarchy, the Idaho CSA/CNP will be meeting the 2nd Wednesday at the Lincoln Inn in Gooding Idaho at 4:00PM and in Boise at Merritts Cafe on State Street the 2nd Saturday of each month also at 4:00PM.

Star Trek XII To Reflect Contemporary Issues

Star Trek XII To Reflect Contemporary Issues

Now that the Star Trek characters have been established in the first film, J. J. Abrams would like to make a movie that deals with modern-day issues.

There have been several meetings regarding the sequel to Star Trek XI and co-writer Roberto Orci explained what the thought process was in deciding upon a story. “We’ve literally had two meetings now,” he said. “We haven’t decided anything but we’re starting to circle around some ideas.”

One of those ideas was something that came from fan feedback. “We got a lot of fan response from the first one and a considerable amount of critical response and one of the things we heard was, ‘Make sure the next one deals with modern-day issues,’” said Orci. “We’re trying to keep it as up-to-date and as reflective of what’s going on today as possible. So that’s one thing, to make it reflect the things that we are all dealing with today.”

Could Star Trek XII deal with the ethics of torture, terrorism or a painful, politicized war? “Well yeah, those are the kind of issues we’re talking about,” said Orci. “…That’s the way we’re thinking, that’s an approach.”

J.J. Abrams wants to make a movie that is more than just an expected sequel. “The ambition for a sequel to Star Trek is to make a movie that’s worthy of the audience and not just another movie, you know, just a second movie that feels tacked on. The first movie was so concerned with just setting up the characters, their meeting each and galvanizing that family, that in many ways a sequel will have a very different mission.”

To do that, Abrams wants to go back to that for which Star Trek was once known. “It needs to do what [Gene] Roddenberry did so well, which is allegory,” he said. “It needs to tell a story that has connection to what is familiar and what is relevant. It also needs to tell it in a spectacular way that hides the machinery and in a primarily entertaining and hopefully moving story. There needs to be relevance, yes, and that doesn’t mean it should be pretentious. If there are simple truths, truths connected to what we live, that elevates any story, that’s true with any story.”

a cooters blawg header A Knyte Cap

I gather the news from many sources. Some are forwarded from CSA/CNP , some from other places. However I only relay the news. I do not discern the information as my own words , since much of it is not MY WORDS. Case-n-point, The use of the N word in a recent piece from one of the members of both the CSA/CNP as well as the Knytes. Just because someone makes that part of a historical document which it was, the word I did not utter. It was made through the member and his investigation. But the question needs to be returned. What is worse, calling me names or saying I'm a jackass, or somebody quoting a document that had the N word in it? I have my independent thoughts and I express them here as well as in our other site. I also report news of my chosen political party, but I do not make that news, again, I just report it. So don't beat up the messenger. Namely me. After all doesn't anyone remember that I subscribe to the Federation's Prime Directive? I accept all , I do not discriminate because of skin color, race, or place of origin. I judge people from their actions. After all I can readily say I have seen some Caucasians that have been just as much racist and judgmental as any Confederate. Case-n-Point, the majority religious body of both Idaho and Utah, did not allow Blacks unto the priesthood until one Black LDS member threatened to sue the church, several years ago. Church leaders then had a vision that allowed the admittance of Blacks into the priesthood. Also it may interest many to know, my second cousin Judy adopted 4 African kids and all 4 are also my kin folk. Oh yea I am racist, NOT!! See many say things without knowledge , also much of my blawgs are picked apart and taken out of context. That said the news posted here is not always my words. I just report the news. Keepin it real.

Black Codes

KNYTES THINGS HEADER

Folks,

If you’re looking for information on Northern Black Codes, you won’t find it on Google until item 65, after 7 pages of returns of 10 items to the page.

Every reference prior to that details the evil South and its Jim Crow laws, which didn’t come into being until 1890. We just can’t have the benevolent North, the freer of slaves, sullied with their sordid laws of selling free blacks into slavery for fines levied for staying in the Northern States too long.

The Northwest Ordinance of 1787 was the first blatant attack upon Southern property rights and used slavery as their oh so pious example for their ‘indignation’. It would have made no difference if the law had prohibited Southerners from transporting their goods into the territories in anything but a Studebaker or Conestoga wagon.

What it really boiled down to was, they didn’t want blacks in the North, period, unless they were Northern owned slaves. The damnedyankees made a killing off the slave trade with the biggest slave auction being in New York City. It was their ships that plied the ports of Africa and brought the slaves to the Colonies and later the US after chattel slavery was approved by the King’s Court in 1652. Prior to that date, ‘slaves’ were indentured servants and were freed after, usually, 7 years service.

That is the condition of which many of our White ancestors arrived in the Colonies.

Let’s understand something right now. Indentured servitude was the Visa or Master Card of the day. It was not slavery! Those who had no, or very little, funds signed an agreement to serve someone for a certain period of time to pay their passage. That was their indenture document.

Let’s take the fight to the damnedyankee NAACP and demand the repeal of the Black Codes of the North.

The Southern Black Codes were not implemented by Southerners or Confederates for they didn’t have the right to vote unless they had signed the damnedyankee ‘loyalty oath’. They were brought South by the carpetbaggers because they didn’t want niggers anywhere near them in either rights or accommodations.

"A meddling Yankee is God's worse creation, he cannot run his own affairs correctly, but he is constantly interfering in the affairs of others, and he is always ready to repent of everyone's sin, but his own." -- M. D. Hall, a prominent North Carolina gentleman in the 1850's

Black Codes in Northern USA

The Black Codes were laws passed on the state and local level in the United States to restrict the civil rights and civil liberties of African Americans, particularly former slaves.

Black Codes in Northern USA – History

The history of Black Codes is complex and lengthy. Black Codes are most commonly associated with the laws adopted in the southern states after the American Civil War until the beginning of Reconstruction to regulate the freedoms of former slaves. Contrary to popular misconception though, the Black Codes did not begin in 1865. Rather they develop over the span of half a century or more and date to the early 19th century in some northern states.

Black Codes in Northern USA - Early Black Codes in the Midwest

The Northwest Ordinance of 1787 organized new territories in the American Midwest with a stipulation that prohibited slavery's expansion there:

"There shall be neither slavery nor involuntary servitude in the said territory, otherwise than in the punishment of crimes, whereof the party shall have been duly convicted".

This landmark bill would ensure that Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Wisconsin would enter the union as free states. In the early 19th century, however, white laborers residing in this region and many other northern states began to fear competition from both the slave labor system to their south and also from freed slaves who relocated to these states to pursue work. Known by historians as Negrophobia, these prejudices among white residents of the Midwest prompted a call for statutory regulations and restrictions on free blacks who resided in or moved through their territory. In several cases these restrictions amounted to an outright ban on blacks from owning property, contracting, or taking up residence in certain states.

Ohio's legislature adopted one of the first immigration laws against freedmen in 1804:

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio, that from and after the first day of June next, no black or mulatto person, shall be permitted to settle or reside in this state, unless he or she shall first produce a fair certificate from some court with the United States, of his or her actual freedom, which certificate shall be attested by the clerk of said court, and the seal thereof annexed thereto, by the said clerk.

The law also established a public registry system for all blacks residing in Ohio before 1804, prohibited white settlers from contracting and hiring blacks without certifications, and imposed heavy fines for violators of its provisions, both white and black. In 1807 the law was extended to require black immigrants to place a bond with the clerk of their county of residence and banned blacks from testifying in court or bringing suit against white persons.

The territorial legislature of Illinois followed suit in 1813 by enacting an outright prohibition against free black settlers within its borders:

Be it enacted by the Legislative Council and House of Representatives of the Illinois Territory that it shall not be lawful for any free Negro or mulatto to migrate in this territory, and every free Negro or mulatto who shall come into this Territory contrary to this act shall and may be apprehended and carried by an citizen before some justice of the peace of the county where he shall be taken; which Justice is hereby authorized to examine, and order to leave the Territory every such free Negro or mulatto.

The Illinois law imposed severe penalties against violators of this law. Blacks who remained within Illinois borders for longer than 15 days were to be "carried before a justice of the peace who shall order him or her to be whipped on his or her bare back not exceeding thirty-nine stripes nor less than twenty-five stripes." Like Ohio, free blacks already residing in Illinois were required to register their residence, status, and personal records with their county of residence.

Black Codes in Northern USA - The Expansion of Black Codes: 1830-1860

As the abolitionist movement gained steam and escape programs for slaves such as the Underground Railroad expanded, so did the backlash of Negrophobia among white laborers in the north. During his 1830's visit to the United States Alexis de Tocqueville reacted in disgust at the discriminatory practices northern society imposed against free blacks. He described the inequalities they faced in detail:

"It is true that in the North of the Union marriages may be legally contracted between Negroes and whites; but public opinion would stigmatize as infamous a man who should connect himself with a Negress, and it would be difficult to cite a single instance of such a union. The electoral franchise has been conferred upon the Negroes in almost all the states in which slavery has been abolished, but if they come forward to vote, their lives are in danger. If oppressed, they may bring an action at law, but they will find none but whites among their judges; and although they may legally serve as jurors, prejudice repels them from that office. The same schools do not receive the children of the black and of the European. In the theaters gold cannot procure a seat for the servile race beside their former masters; in the hospitals they lie apart; and although they are allowed to invoke the same God as the whites, it must be at a different altar and in their own churches, with their own clergy. The gates of heaven are not closed against them, but their inferiority is continued to the very confines of the other world. When the Negro dies, his bones are cast aside, and the distinction of condition prevails even in the equality of death. Thus the Negro is free, but he can share neither the rights, nor the pleasures, nor the labor, nor the afflictions, nor the tomb of him whose equal he has been declared to be; and he cannot meet him upon fair terms in life or in death." (Democracy in America, Book I, Chapter 18)[1]

Within a few short years of Tocqueville's visit many northern states began to institutionalize these practices in Black Code statutes like those found in Ohio.

Indiana's miscegenation statute, adopted in 1845, typifies these provisions:

No Person of color, Negro or mulatto, of either sex, shall be joined in marriage with any white person, male or female, in this state.

Oregon Territory adopted the "Lash Law," one of the most extreme Black Codes of the antebellum period. The law denied property rights to blacks and ordered all free blacks to immediately vacate the territory. Those who did not were to be whipped publicly every six months that they remained, hence the law's name. [2]

In several states the Black Codes were either incorporated into or required by their State Constitutions, many of which were rewritten in the 1840's. Article 13 of Indiana's 1851 Constitution stated that "No Negro or Mulatto shall come into, or settle in, the State, after the adoption of this Constitution" and ordered the legislature to appropriate funds for the colonization of free blacks abroad.

Screwed the pooch once again

In Military aviation circles the term screwing the pooch means you missed the third wire or had a poor approach to a carrier landing. In common everyday life it means that perhaps I was not completely able to convey my thoughts through a blawg entry. On the subject of the lost cost grants for people to create their own jobs when few if any are available versus staying on public welfare rolls or SSI I thought makes real sense and cents if not dollars. Yes poor money management can make any business go in the toilet, but if Obamabeenlyintoya can rakeout zillions of dollars to AIG, GM, Chrysler among others, why not make public money available to people really trying to crawl out from under a bad economic rut? Like wise about creating a planned residential or for that matter a community, hey I never said I could do it. The thing is I saw with my own eyes a successful very successful planned community spring up on an otherwise barren desert just west of Lehi Utah, called Eagle Mountain Utah. Whether anyone wants to buy into this or not, I was there looking at putting one of my concepts into place there. I saw this group of forward thinking people put something together that has become a real town in central Utah. If it could work for them, why not the Knytes? Or just people fed up with the status quo? Have your own town, with a nice place to live, at family as well as individual, friendly prices. Eagle Mountain at the time, offered a three bedroom, very environmentally friendly home on an acre and a half of ground for around $200,000.00 after closing costs. The commercial infrastructure is yet to be completed, but I saw a city hall, fire department, police station etc go up, out on what was really worthless desert. There are many areas this same thing could work. From just on the Idaho/Utah border at what is Stevel Idaho, Plain City Utah. over in Wyoming I have seen desert ground that such a thing could bloom. I'm not saying every place can be the Hazzard we saw on TV. Or a fictional landscape that problems are solved in one to a half hour like they are on TV. But a place where one could go, to live out the remainder of ones life in peace, with some measure of trust and economic benefit. Without all the crap would be a good way to go. It's like all these folks who put up these storage garages. Sure they are great for storing your stuff, but what about building such things say 500 feet by 500 feet, with electricity and water with a toilet , rent the things for $600.00 or less, so those looking to turn a wrench for a living could at least get their foot in the door, and off SSI, and contributing to society. This is what I'm getting to. I'm not saying every enterprise would succeed, but hey it'd be a start. Its more on the line of giving a hand up, rather than a hand out. Believe it or not, there are many who like me, would love to get up in the morning, go to their own shop, and make a fair living, rather than just sit on their can watching TV.  I hate to bring this up again, but like in Utah, a forward thinking semi-retired tech worker exec, started this thing called Growing Utah Ventures. Where they took a run down bus station in Ogden Utah , and gave out low cost loans and grants to folks building technology style business's. That start up company has built some really great other start up's. So why not extend that into other types of business's? Say a media production firm, or even some person needing a very low cost office to start his or her insurance business, real estate firm, or even a barber shop? Hell even a radio station. Its called putting America back to work. Until they cain't work in their old years then if needed then get back on SSI. Many people like myself are on government money, and what SSI pays barely scratches the itch. If you rent a house or a decent apartment, at minimum of $450.00 a month, plus even if you only drank one glass of water a day, and all between the water, trash, power or gas bill, that mere $674.00 a month gets used up purtty quick. Let alone trying to maintain a cell or other phone and maybe cable TV. People in this country deserve more. Rather than bail out big companies, lets bail out Americans. Give us the ability and we can repeat can make it work.

My thoughts, I could be wrong.

Some Confederate Hazzard County Wizzdum

a cooters blawg header A Knyte Cap

Here's an idea. There are people who jump up my ass about condemning the very source of my financial abilities. Social Security, as well as the Montgomery Trust etc. But on the subject of Social Security, I had this idea, what if without killing a forest for the paper to do it, but what if the USA Government came to all on low income Social Security and said, "Hey we know your having a tuff time making it, here is a grant of say $200,000.00 go and create a company or business. We will give this to you, if in 5 years or less the business makes it you agree to get off Social Security." I'd jump at that in a New York minute. Obamabeenlyintoya bailed out I don't know how many big companies last year from AIG to GM . But what about the single or near single rural or just a person trying to squeeeze out something to enhance the mere earnings of SSI? The days of $300.00 a month shops as in my case are gone. Anything worth calling a shop is going to be in the $550.00 to $2,500.00 a month range, plus tools and equipment, is going to mean YOU rake out at minimum $20,000.00 before you even make a cent in profit. Yes there are SBA loans and so on, and if your lucky you might find someone who knows how to write a USA Grant application, but for the few of us not so gifted, a way to crawl out from under a very hard rut might be a better way to save the USA(CSA) from total ruin. Yes there are those saying the bad times are over, Hoggsbreath. The squealers are still squealing. We never saw a change just more of the same crap, and we are sinking in this quicksand faster than Enos getting hitched to Daisy.  We need a real plan. 2010 is albeit not national , but a local election season. Many issues need to be in front of voters, I say we need this kind of plan out there floating. I urge you to pass this blawg of mine onto everyone you know. Even to a few politicians that might get it in their heads that many on SSI etc don't want to be, we are there for basic survival. This is not living, its hindering real recovery. Putting people like me back to work in our own business's making our own money, paying taxes and creating jobs for others through our small business's is the way to fix this mess.

Just some Hazzard County Wizzdum.
